Of the many different Psittacidae (true parrots) genera, six are classified as macaws: Ara, Anodorhynchus, Cyanopsitta, Primolius, Orthopsittaca, and Diopsittaca. These lovely birds were hanging out in a tree at Cabinas Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula at sunset. Curtis Reznicek and Stephanie Bishop currently travel often to Costa Rica to document local culture, cuisine, and the natural landscape. They share a love of travel, observing nature and photography, and are dedicated to helping efforts to maintain these majestic natural spaces.
