We now believe that this information is false.
Our hugest apologies... Whoever put it out and widely circulating it is trying to scare us... The weekend restrictions are quoted backward too.
But anything is possible! Mil disculpas. 😢
We recall the operating rules that govern certain establishments according to what will be announced at the press conference on April 30, 2021 and will be published in resolution MS-DM-6552-2021:
A) They may operate with restriction:
Supermarkets, suppliers, grocery stores and mini-supermarkets will only be able to enable the sale of products corresponding to the section of food, beverages, groceries, cleaning and hygiene supplies, all this with a maximum capacity of 50%.
B) They will be able to operate under the non-public modality:
Home delivery services, the self-service modality to the public (understood as the withdrawal of products remaining inside the vehicle) and the modality of withdrawal of food in a take-out establishment.
All those other establishments with a sanitary operating permit that do not provide attention to the public in person (productive activities, industries, free zones, among others).
C) They will not be able to operate weekends:
General stores, department stores and beauty salons, barber shops and aesthetics.
The rest of the establishments and activities may not be able to function according to the established rules. To see the complete list, visit the website http://presidencia.go.cr/alertas/
Finally, it is important to clarify that the new measures will begin on Monday, May 3.
These rules are maintained until the cases in CI are downloaded again.
