Living in Paradise in our Southern Zone of Costa Rica

Welcome to New Readers ...

New calculation of the dollar exchange rate started on Tuesday .. this is an interesting article explaining that they are lowering the 'spread' the bank makes from about 13 colones per dollar down to 7 colones.. but it is not yet reflected in this sheet today which gives the exchange rate all the banks in Costa Rica. Will be interesting to watch.

The Festival Internacional de las Artes (FIA 2017), that runs to July 9, kicked off Thursday night in downtown San Jose.

On April 7th, thanks to the amazing work of a Team close to Vida Autentica in Tinamastes (Tinamastes feria) ... our Perez Zeledon became the first canton to go herbicide free in public areas. Since then, the Municipalities of Tibás, Santo Domingo, Montes de Oca and Belén de Heredia have followed their strong lead. Let's make this Country Wide!

Here is the official story about the reason for the Big Central American Blackout on Saturday ... there are other theories being tossed around. Also ... if you have your computer or anything fried by ICE here ... if you make a claim in a timely basis (I believe 10 days) and have all the necessary paperwork (receipts etc.) they have been known to pay for the damage.

Our wonderful local chiropractor, Dr. Robert Henderson has moved his offices ... please see our Services page for full information. Highly recommended.

We have Mangostan, Anona and Moringa Trees available ... send message and I can bring to the feria.

Super excited to introduce a new Blog we are maintaining on our Website for Tophur the Science Guy. Many of you will remember his great works published by Raven in her beautiful Montana y Mar magazine ... so welcome Tophur and please click here to read his submission for the week on Sovereignty Tech!

Marguerite sends her love & thanks to all who are helping her thru this difficult time ... she even got a TV donated thanks to loving friends. Here is an update from Sheri.

Response to Jack Ewing's article on Snake bites: Thanks for writing this article. I’m glad to have been in Costa Rica when I received 2 terciapelo bites, one year apart. The most important antidote to the venom everyone must know – is a great immune system. In my case, I was able to neutralize the venom, even after having all the classic symptoms, after my second bite. I went to the hospital in San Isidro in both cases, and they determined the first bite, even when I neutralized the venom with NO symptoms, I had to take the anti-venom due to a small amount of venom detected, but finished treatment in only 8 hours. The second bite I waited 8 hours sleeping off all the classic symptoms, then going to the hospital the next morning where I tested NO venom in my blood, then went right home. I think I’m the first person to report ability to neutralize terciapelo venom with a properly maintained immune system.

I believe the secret to immunity is having a high level of anti-oxidants, oxygen, alkalinity, and anti-parasitic compounds in clean blood from a mostly raw vegan diet. Eating daily green smoothies, with kale, parsley, turmeric, ginger, coconut water, okra, purslane, culantro, fresh organic fruits, all helped. Drinking lots of coconut water to dilute the venom immediately I believe also helped. Dis-ease cannot live in oxygen rich blood, and I recently had my blood tested – 100 out of 100 – highest score possible. All from eating a vegan diet – 90% raw, 10% cooked. Nothing enters my body that diminishes immunity such as acidic, cancer-causing foods such as meats, fish, dairy, cooked oils, salt, wheat flour, and GMO’s. If anyone wants details of how to build such an immunity with a perfect diet designed for humans, you can reach me at emrivkin@gmail.com. I have a recipe book TO LIVE FOR that contains my Save My Life Soup that literally did just that, available soon in Spanish also. Pura Vida! … Eric Rivkin
