This directory is a collaborative work by Upward Spirals and the community of Costa Rica. I'm an American traveler making my way to Costa Rica for the first time july 13th. I'm a bit of a nomad who loves to connect with like/open minded people in tune with organic ways of life, community, spirituality, creativity and having fun in whatever way imaginable. A good friend passed on your June 24 email, and sugested I get on your list to learn more about what will be happening when I arrive. I'll be in the country between July 13 and July 23. I have all of zero plans yet and am looking for people, communities, couch surfing opportunities, and events to connect with. If you have any suggestions, it would be so hugely appreciated. :)
Mostly, I just need to figure out where to start the short trip and allow free flow from there :)

Enjoy three weeks on an organic farm near San Vito. looking for single or couple to caretake organic farm retreat 9 miles from San Vito. Stay in open style house with great views and beautiful plantings, enjoy whatever is growing, (lots of pineapples, herbs and veggies right now) take care of two small greenhouses, 2 sweet dogs and some enclosed chickens. It is very remote and quiet, and is better if you have your own transportation, but I can also arrange rides to town with neighbors for shopping...dates will range from around August 19 to September 13, but are still flexible.
