You will not be alone on the farm . . . however you will be responsible for keeping my green house watered and cared for as well as feeding my dogs and chickens daily.

Seeking a caretaker who will honor and help to heal our relationship with the Earth
Do you appreciate the benefits of organic gardening practices? Can you share the vision of a replanting native species, growing a food forest and taking only what we need, with gratitude?
We are seeking a seasonal caretaker(s) to live on our property, eat from and grow our gardens, and care for our lovely dog, “Manga”. Ideally you are already living in the Platanillo/Tinamastes area, and you have your own vehicle.
The schedule varies a little bit, but in general, you would be living on the property for 3 months, have 2-3 months off, and then come back for 3 months. This could be a multi-year position for the right person or couple.
There are two small homes on the property, a one-bedroom house built from shipping containers and a studio guest house. Water sourced from local well, with public water (AYA) as a backup. Electricity provided by ICE. Nature trails throughout the property and a year-round creek with small waterfalls offer a refreshing dip after your walk.
The community is like-minded, both Tico and Gringo, sharing resources and responsibilities. A Wellness retreat center is across the road. Utilities would be paid by you at the local Supermarket while you are caretaking and living on the property, and “rent” would be traded for caretaking and gardening services. Monthly internet service is available for an additional $40/month.
