We are a NGO based in the United States that works with a local NGO, Casa de la Juventud, to facilitate campamentos in national parks throughout Costa Rica for Tico and US American youth. We are Victor and Natalya -- a retired Canadian couple. Eight years ago we built our dream home in Costa Rica and for the past few years we ran a very successful Bed and Breakfast there. Last year, our grandkids brought us back to Canada, and we are looking for someone to live in our Costa Rican home and fully manage the B&B.
A little bit about the place - the house is over 8,000 square feet, surrounded by a lush tropical garden and primary jungle right in our back yard. The house is three stories high. The top level is a large, gourmet kitchen and indoor / outdoor living space. The second floor has 3 bedrooms + a den. Finally, the ground floor has a spacious studio apartment with a kitchen and an in-suite bathroom. The B&B manager will be living in this studio apartment while renting out the top part of the house. Finally, there is a large swimming pool, a fully equipped gym and many outdoor sitting areas with beautiful views.

We have a cleaning lady that cleans the house and a gardener who looks after the garden and the pool. Both speak only Spanish.
The house is located between a major town with all amenities, such as hospitals, supermarkets etc (San Isidro Del General), and a beautiful surfing beach (Dominical). Both are about a 30 minutes drive away. The road leading up to the house is unpaved and requires a 4x4 drive. The B&B manager is responsible for providing their own transportation.
We are looking for a single person or a couple; at least one person must be able to communicate with the staff in Spanish. Since the house in three stories high, and is located on a hill, the best fit would be someone with an active lifestyle. An added bonus would be someone that is handy with minor house repairs.
The manager responsibilities include: answering all the booking inquiries, managing the staff to keep the place spotless, meeting the guests and make sure they are comfortable.
